MINI STOCK RULES

1. ENGINE COMPONENTS

  1. Maximum displacement - 152 C-2600 cc. Minimum weight/pound per cc. before, during and after the race with the driver.
  2. No engine set back or lowering of engine. Engines must be Ford to Ford, Chevy to Chevy, etc.
  3. Must be (4) four-cylinder, OEM - no porting, OEM heads, block and intake manifold. Pistons may be after market. Cam, lifters, followers and rocker may be after market.
  4. Carburetor 500 cfm. (2 bbl.) maximum.
  5. Compression ratio must be no more than 10 to 1.
  6. An engine seal may be used at any time.
  7. Any car may be inspected at the end of year.
  8. 270 maximum duration on cam.

2. FUEL SYSTEM

  1. OEM electric fuel pump only. You must have a rollover switch tied into the electric pump, which may be an oil mercury switch. No fuel injection, turbos or supers.
  2. No outside filler caps. Gas tank must be accessible from outside of car and must be at least 12" from rear most part of bumper.
  3. Fuel cell recommended.

3. BATTERY

  1. Must have battery disconnect switch. Switch must shut car off when all other switches are on.

4. WHEELS AND TIRES

  1. Maximum 8" wheels, steels only.
  2. Maximum 105" wheelbase.
  3. D.O.T. street tires or retreads on D.O.T. casings or IMCA tire. Maximum 8" width, no mud or snow tires.

5. TRANSMISSIONS / DRIVE TRAIN

  1. Must be stock!!! Front wheel drive O.K.
  2. Stock rear end and gears, may be changed to different ratio.
  3. No light flywheels.
  4. Reverse working!!!
  5. No after market clutches or performance torque converters.

6. BODIES

  1. Must be stock appearing, maximum 4" rear spoiler. Wheel opening may be radiused for tire clearance.
  2. External body must be stock, have full stock firewall and made of OEM material.
  3. Drivers compartment must have floorboards. All holes, in firewall and floorboards must be plugged. Hood must have a minimum of 2 hood pins in front to secure in place, doors welded, bolted or chained. Trunk must be securely fastened and in place.
  4. Window bars mandatory, with 1/2" square wire mesh.
  5. With exception of V.W., all nerf bars must be placed inside body panels. Minimum weight of 2,300 pounds.

7. SAFETY

  1. 5-point racing harness with crotch belt, headrest and window net is mandatory.
  2. Driver must wear an approved safety helmet.
  3. Must wear an approved neck brace.
  4. Must have a minimum 2 1/2 number fire extingusiher within reach of the driver.
  5. Fire suits and gloves are mandatory. (Shoes and Nomex underwear advised.)

8. SUSPENSION MODIFICATIONS

  1. Springs may be weakened. After market O.K.
  2. Springs may be lowered.
  3. Hold down chains will be allowed, but no weight jacks.
  4. Stock mounting positions for all suspension components.
  5. Stock type shocks, springs and sway bars only. After market upper A arms O.K.
